Cuernavava Townhomes is a quiet peaceful community comprised of 41 luxurious townhomes in the heart of Scottsdale. The community was built in 1975—1978, and is located just North of Lincoln Drive on Scottsdale Rd. The homes feature one level and two-story units comprised of two-and three-bedroom floor plans. Homes range in size from 1,808 to 4,100 square feet all with a two-car garage. Many homes have been completely remodeled inside.
Cuernavaca is centrally located in the Scottsdale Resort Corridor. In the immediate area there are large resorts such as Mountain Shadows, Camelback Inn, McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale Plaza, and Ritz Carlton. The McCormick Stillman Railroad Park as well as many restaurants and boutique shops are a short walk. Old Town Scottsdale and Fashion Square mall are minutes away.
This gated community has a resort style pool and spa with a covered ramada and grilling area. A well-equipped clubhouse has a full kitchen, large lounge area, and pool table. The spacious area also has an adjoining covered deck overlooking the two lighted tennis courts (and pickle-ball) courts. Downstairs there is a well-equipped fitness center with a sauna, shower and restroom.
The community has established lush green spaces that contain indigenous plantings and trees. This is neighborhood that suits many needs, whether you choose to live here all year, or lock and leave.

Driveway Staining - Suspended due date

Dear Cuernavaca Homeowners,
The Board is currently investigating additional or alternative products. If you have not yet stained your driveway, we ask that you please hold off until additional products have been sampled and evaluated. Thus, the deadline to complete driveways has been lifted.
Driveway Pavers and Staining Update
To help facilitate upcoming driveway remodeling and repair projects, we are advising anyone interested in ordering pavers to contact the supplier directly as it may benefit you in a cost savings. We recommend owners consider working collectively to secure a bulk pricing for interested owners.

Owners may choose their own contractor to remove existing concrete and for installation. If you would like a contractor referral, please feel free to contact any Board member for names of contractors who have worked on similar projects.
Although pavers may involve a higher initial expense, owners may want to consider the potential benefit of reduced staining and maintenance in the future. Arizona’s weather conditions have not been favorable to the longevity of driveways that have been stained, and additional maintenance will be required over time. One should discuss the long-term maintenance requirements and options with your contractor of choice before proceeding.
Existing Concrete: Grinding and Re-Staining
If planning to grind and re-staining your existing concrete is your preferred option, please be aware that some owners have reported concerns regarding the consistency of the finished color and product. Different concrete compositions and conditions may cause the stain to absorb differently from one driveway to another.
ARC Form Requirement
Finally, we would like to remind everyone that the process for making changes to your driveway has been made very simple. At this stage if considering pavers the only requirement is that an ARC form be submitted so the Association has a record of the proposed work.
